Project Overview
At the start of third year of University we had to find a problem and then spend the next two semesters trying to fix it. The problem I found was that traffic in mainly smaller games usually feels way too robotic and unnatural. I decided I would fix this by creating a modular traffic system that game developers could pick up and quickly use to build traffic into their games. The goal isn't for this to be used as a focal point in a game however, should be used to bring life into an environment like a city. I initially started by researching core mechanics like how something like this could be done, which gave me a great area to begin. I would then continue by building the core of this system which was vehicles closely following splines on roads and having relatively decent collision detection. This would then be improved on later after adding intersections and traffic lights.

Going Forward
I will carry out testing and gather user feedback, I'll then take this and further improve upon the system I have created. I'd also like to look into spawning and de-spawning vehicles based on where the player is located.
